Google Stadia is\u00a0shutting down its Stadia cloud gaming service, sadly enough. While Stadia never quite took the world by storm, there are still plenty of players out there who have spent time in long RPG games like Cyberpunk 2077. So what happens to all those Cyberpunk 2077 saves after the Stadia shutdown date? Fortunately, they can live on in the PC edition of the game, or on consoles \u2013 you just need to save a local copy before January 18<\/strong>, and here\u2019s how to do it<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Being one of Google\u2019s suite of products, Stadia save games can be downloaded with Google\u2019s data management tool, Google Takeout. This allows you to export and download data you\u2019ve generated in any Google app, and that includes Stadia.<\/p>\n

CD Projekt Red\u2019s support team has a page with official instructions on how to download your Stadia saves. You simply head over to Google Takeout (making sure you\u2019re logged in with the account associated with Stadia), and find the \u2018Create New Export\u2019 section.<\/p>\n

Click \u2018deselect all\u2019, and then find Stadia in the list. Select it, and click the \u2018next step\u2019 button to proceed. You\u2019ll pick a local folder for your files, and then it\u2019s simply a matter of selecting \u2018export once\u2019 under frequency. Choose \u2018.zip\u2019 for the file type, and \u20182 GB\u2019 for the size. Then click \u2018create export.\u2019<\/p>\n

Once your export file is safely downloaded, you\u2019ll need to extract it. Inside, you\u2019ll find all your Stadia games\u2019 saves in compressed archives. When you find your Cyberpunk 2077 saves, you can extract them, and then copy and paste those folders into your \\Saved Games\\CD Projekt Red\\Cyberpunk 2077<\/strong> folder, being careful not to drop them into a subfolder.<\/p>\n
