We\u2019ve done this for three years in a row, and for that time, we\u2019ve either got something expertly guessed or horribly wrong. Trying to guess what Nintendo does is foolhardy at the best of times, so trying to pick what they\u2019re going to do for the next 12 months is stupid. Let\u2019s do it anyway.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Before we look forward, let\u2019s take a quick look back at our predictions for 2022 and what we got right and wrong.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u274c A new 3D Mario Game (horribly wrong, no new game)\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2705 Nintendo continues to ignore DK (aside from in the movie, correct)\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2705 New Xenoblade game (correct, it even released earlier than expected)<\/p>\n

\u274c Wind Waker and Twilight Princess ports (wrong, but we were right about the then-unnamed Tears of the Kingdom)<\/p>\n

\u2705 No Wii U ports, instead Wii Sports (Nintendo Switch Sports announced and released)\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u274c Just one Pokemon game (there were two, but perhaps one should have been delayed just a little)<\/p>\n

\u274c Anything Metroid Prime or Trilogy (nothing)<\/p>\n

A 50% hit rate right there. Maybe need to get even bolder this year?<\/p>\n
