August kept up the pace with great Game Pass games, with some titles like Immortality and Tinykin joining the service on day one, while other older games like Immortals Fenyx Rising made their way over to the Game Pass library too. As usual, there were quite a number of Game Pass additions in August, so we’ve tried to condense things by highlighting a few of the best and biggest games to join the service in August!<\/p>\n

Midnight Fight Express<\/h3>\n

Here we have one of the more hectic Game Pass additions for August \u2014 Midnight Fight Express sees you play as Babface, who teams up with an AI drone to use every skill and weapon at their disposal to keep the city from being taken over by criminals. It promises a full-speed onslaught of combat as you develop increasingly-powerful moves to use against what seems like an insurmountable number of enemies. Midnight Fight Express brought a bit of all-out combat chaos to Game Pass, offering up an interesting option to those looking for their next indie gem.<\/p>\n

Here was an interesting one: Immortality seemed to meet with an entirely divided response in its players; there were those who thought it raised the bar across the board, and those who weren\u2019t as impressed. Either way, it was a fascinating addition to Game Pass, asking you to figure out what happened to Marissa Marcel; an actress who starred in three movies (which were never released) and then vanished. You sort through the footage of those three movies in an attempt to uncover the truth. It was a big get for Game Pass, joining as a day-one addition with a lot of hype and hubbub around it, and has to go down on this list of the highlights of Game Pass in August.<\/p>\n

Two Point Campus is pure silly fun, and another win for Game Pass since it joined the service on day one. It does a good job as a sequel, adding another layer to the simulation management experience it offers; where in Two Point Hospital you were often aiming to get patients treated and out the door quickly, Two Point Campus encourages you to invest time in the students at your university, making sure they\u2019re making friends, having fun, not falling behind on their studies, and just generally doing the weird kind of things the people of the Two Point games like to do. You\u2019ve got time before the term starts to build your campus and recruit staff, and then once your students arrive you\u2019ll be busy decorating and expanding your university to accommodate them all. It\u2019s easy to keep coming back to Two Point Campus, which offers an enjoyable experience without the worry of over-complicated mechanics or a complex story that you might forget when you put the controller down. It\u2019s another great addition to Game Pass, offering a solid entry to the sim management genre.<\/p>\n

Build the university of your dreams with Two Point Campus, the follow up management sim with a twist from the creators of Two Point Hospital. Get to know your students, explore their personalities and fulfill their wants and needs. Ghost Recon Wildlands<\/h3>\n

In a complete change of pace, the next Game Pass August addition we\u2019re highlighting here is Ghost Recon Wildlands, which sees you exploring Bolivia to take down the drug cartel Santa Blanca and free the land from its control. Military shooters of this scale aren\u2019t too common on Game Pass, and Ghost Recon Wildlands was a good way for Game Pass to shore up its great selection of indies with a bigger title that appealed to a broader audience. It\u2019s a pretty hefty game, offering something a little chunkier to play in between shorter titles, and added more variety to the Game Pass lineup. <\/p>\n

Immortals Fenyx Rising<\/h3>\n

What a great get for Game Pass \u2014 Immortals Fenyx Rising was well-received when it launched in 2020, but it still seemed to fly a little under the radar when compared to other bigger releases for that year. Coming to Game Pass opened it up for more players, and it\u2019s a brilliant addition to the Game Pass library, as a highly-enjoyable open-world action-adventure game all about Greek mythology. It has the eye-catching art style reminiscent of Breath of the Wild (and some gameplay mechanics that are similar too) along with a great world to explore and a good story (even if the humour can get a little\u2026 eh<\/i>). It has plenty of puzzles to solve and loads and loads<\/i> of loot to find. One thing that was kind of a nice change from other open-world games is that it\u2019s very obvious in Immortals Fenyx Rising when there\u2019s loot for you to collect \u2014 you don\u2019t have to worry about going back and forth to make sure you\u2019ve got everything, as anything you can collect will be glowing or sparkly or brightly-coloured; you can just sit back and have Fenyx glide around from one point of interest to another. Immortals Fenyx Rising is a lot of fun, and offers up a hefty amount of content for you to sink your teeth into; another win for Game Pass.<\/p>\n

Tinykin<\/h3>\n

Tinykin is a great example of the quality of indie titles available in the Game Pass library. It\u2019s another one that might have flown under the radar had it not been for the visibility boost of joining Game Pass, and the resulting ability for those who weren\u2019t sure about buying it of being able to try it out with a Game Pass membership. Tinykin sees Milo coming to Earth to find himself shrunk down to the size of an ant \u2014 he can use the abilities of the strange creatures known as tinykin to explore the house he\u2019s stuck in, meeting insect societies as he goes and helping them out. One highly-enjoyable part of Tinykin is the amount of stuff<\/i> there is to collect \u2014 it\u2019s a lot of fun to send Milo zooming around on his soap-board and collecting all sorts of interesting bits and pieces while commanding an army of tinykin. Tinykin adds a wonderful dash of variety to the Game Pass library, and it was definitely one of the highlights of August\u2019s additions.<\/p>\n
