January is now a month away, which means that we\u2019re getting closer to the release of Craig Mazin\u2019s The Last of Us<\/em> series on HBO Max. Just in, we have a new trailer for the series, and it showcases a lot of familiar characters and significant moments from the game.<\/p>\n

<\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/figure>\nHere\u2019s the series description:<\/p>\n20 years after modern civilization has been destroyed, Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal heartbreaking journey as they both must traverse the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.<\/em><\/p>\nThough we\u2019ve seen a lot of Joel and Ellie in the marketing, the trailer gives us a look at other characters in the series including Bill, Marlene, Sam, and Henry. We even get Ellie\u2019s best friend Riley from The Last of Us<\/em> DLC Left Behind<\/em>.<\/p>\nWe don\u2019t know how much of the first season will include moments from the first game, but I have a feeling that they\u2019re going to be cutting the story short to save content for the next season. The storyline with David is pretty essential in TLOU<\/em>, but so far, no actor has been announced for the part, and you would think they would want to cast someone recognizable as David.<\/p>\nWhile there is a hint of David\u2019s group in the trailer, I think this is a red herring to save him to Season 2.
