The latest rumor courtesy of popular Spanish site AreaJugones claims that the original Metal Gear Solid is being remade for the PS5.<\/p>\n

Should we expect Metal Gear Solid PS5 remake at The Game Awards 2022?<\/h2>\n

According to AreaJugones, this MGS remake has been in development for a number of years and, like Demon\u2019s Souls, is being completely remade for the PS5. The website\u2019s\u00a0 source claims that the game will be announced \u201csoon,\u201d causing AreaJugones to pull the trigger. The website states that it didn\u2019t want to sit on this information in case the remake gets announced at The Game Awards 2022. I guess they don\u2019t want any regrets.<\/p>\n

Personally, I\u2019m having a hard time believing AreaJugones\u2019 report. While it\u2019s true that Konami has plans to revive its prized IPs and has finally announced the long-rumored Silent Hill projects, a Metal Gear Solid 3 remake is more likely than a remake of the original PS1 game. The report also lacks supporting details, so it could be a case of \u201ctrust me, bro.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
