Super Kiwi 64<\/em> sees you helping a little bird pick up all kinds of goodies lying around some low-poly places. And doing some fun platforming while you\u2019re at it!<\/p>\n

I have spent far too many hours collecting coins and music notes and all manner of other oddball items in several different 3D platformers. It\u2019s not that I just really like picking up things (I honestly get pretty bored of doing it in a LOT of games). However, when the game turns movement into a pleasure all of its own \u2013 when it\u2019s fun to leap and run through a game world \u2013 I\u2019ll happily go through whatever acrobatic act the game needs me to do to pick up all of its various collectables. This game hits that same sensation with its adorable kiwi hero. Just look at their little feet and the way their whole body wiggles with every running step. How could I not want to spend more time with the little creature?<\/p>\n

Motion is a real joy in this game, which is no surprise as its developer, Siactro, has been working on these kinds of 3D platformers for some time. The creator of Toree 3D<\/em> and Macbat 64<\/em> has created yet another delightful, colorful world for me to hop around and explore. From lush forests to unsettling facilities, there\u2019s all manner of high places and hidden caverns to find using your jumping abilities. Being able to glide, stick to walls, and do a little spinning attack give you so many mobility options and open up a ton of places in these carefully crafted 3D playground. Plus, like I said, it just feels really good and engaging to move around the game world and pick up everything you can.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s very, very difficult to make movement work in 3D space, let alone make it a joy to do all on its own, but Super Kiwi 64<\/em> pulls it off.<\/p>\n
