  MultiVersus Season 2 has begun and it brings with it a new map, a brand new battle pass, improved network latency, and a tease about characters set to join the roster.\u00a0\n<\/code><\/pre>\n
Developer Player First Games has detailed what to expect in Season 2 of MultiVersus and it looks to be packing quite the punch. Following the inclusion of Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith from\u00a0Rick and Morty<\/em>\u00a0near the end of Season 1, it seems classic cartoon character Marvin the Martian will be next to join the roster.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cNew roster additions are incredibly exciting, so we figured we\u2019d give you a bit of a tease of one of the new characters who will be joining the MVS roster in Season 2,\u201d a blog post\u00a0about the new season reads. \u201cHailing from planet Mars and sent to destroy Earth with his Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator, Marvin the Martian will soon be making his way back to MultiVersus, in yet another fruitless attempt to claim victory. We\u2019ll have more information about Marvin and his kit soon, so hang in there.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Season 2 of MultiVersus also brings with it a new map. Based on HBO\u2019s\u00a0Game of Thrones<\/em>\u00a0series, fans of the show will immediately recognize the iconic throne room of King\u2019s Landing, complete with \u201call the hazards and pitfalls you\u2019d come to expect from the land of Westeros.\u201d This map will feature a new remix of the\u00a0Game of Thrones\u00a0<\/em>theme song, \u201ccomposed with multiple sections that can transition dynamically depending on what mayhem is taking place in the match.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe recently implemented multi-path network traffic acceleration to improve stability and latency, which will lead to a much improved online experience for players worldwide,\u201d the blog reads.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The new Season 2 battle pass includes new badges, icons\/profile icons, banners, and taunts to unlock. It also features new character variants on the free and premium battle pass track, including Baker Street Tom and Astronaut Velma. New ringouts include the Toxic Explosion and the Lava Breath.\u00a0<\/p>\n
