McPixel 3<\/em> excels at blindsiding you with absurd, hilarious moments as you struggle to figure out how to solve short puzzles in silly situations.<\/p>\n

McPixel is a hero. At least, that\u2019s what the Steam page says. In practice, I\u2019m not so sure, given that many of your actions will get people killed. Beating a guy with the body of yet another guy so you can steal his parachute doesn\u2019t seem PARTICULARLY heroic, but I guess he makes a fine hero for himself. However you feel about his actions, it will be hard to guess what he\u2019s going to do in a given scene. The game presents you with a situation, some items, and a short amount of time to figure out what interactions will make things less lethal.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s pretty hard to guess what the guy will do when you click on something, though. McPixel is an unpredictable guy. Any time I thought I had the solution figured out, he\u2019d do something I couldn\u2019t fathom. Often, these cracked me right up, as the game continually delights with all kinds of funny actions. Whether you\u2019re adjusting some internal organs, trying to stop a runaway train, or trying not to get run over by a lawn mower, I can almost guarantee that you won\u2019t guess the correct answer that will keep you alive. Not that this is a bad thing, as the wrong answer tends to be even funnier than the right one. The game gives you a ton of tries to figure out the correct path, but taking time to go back and see all the wrong paths is even more fun.<\/p>\n

I really don\u2019t want to spoil any of the oddball situations and solutions you\u2019ll find in McPixel 3<\/em>, so I just want to tell you that it\u2019s the funniest game I\u2019ve played in years (likely since the first McPixel<\/em>). It\u2019s continually surprising and endlessly hilarious, and made for some of the most fun I\u2019ve had with a game in a while.<\/p>\n
