SEGA of America\u00a0and\u00a0Netflix\u00a0have confirmed when Sonic Prime<\/strong> will release on the streaming service, which is a new 24-episode 3D animated series that will star Sonic the Hedgehog and pals.<\/p>\n

WildBrain\u00a0and\u00a0Man of Action Entertainment\u00a0are behind the legendary blue blur\u2019s next adventure. The two companies have worked on projects such as Snoopy in Space, Mega Man: Fully Charged, Marvel\u2019s Avengers Assemble, Big Hero 6: The Series and Bakugan Battle Planet.<\/p>\n

The animated series will be created \u201cfor kids, families and long-time fans,\u201d and will see Sonic \u201cin a high-octane adventure where the fate of a strange new multiverse rests in his gloved hands. Sonic\u2019s adventure is about more than a race to save the universe, it\u2019s a journey of self-discovery and redemption.\u201d<\/p>\n

SEGA and WildBrain will \u201cjointly participate across production, distribution and licensing,\u201d with WildBrain\u2019s Vancouver studio responsible for animating the series. Whereas Man of Action Entertainment has been brought on as showrunners and executive producers.<\/p>\n

Sonic Prime will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix from 15 December 2022.<\/p>\n
