Octopath Traveler II doesn\u2019t release until February 24th, but that doesn\u2019t mean that the devs are remaining quiet about the game. In fact, producer Masashi Takahashi and director Keisuke Miyauchi participated in an interview with Famitsu that was eventually translated into English and posted by Nintendo Everything.<\/p>\n

The most interesting topic they discuss is the camerawork. There is no longer just a top-down view. According to Miyauchi, \u201cit\u2019s processed differently internally as well, since while we used scripted events last time, this time we used the Unreal Engine\u2019s features, doing things like we would for a 3D scene\u201d.<\/p>\n

However, there had been camerawork changes for the battles too. Miyauchi says that \u201cwe made things flashy when they should be, and kept some things the same from last game when appropriate, and I think we managed to make the presentation very varied\u201d.<\/p>\n
