Splinter Cell Remake was originally pitched as rebuilding the game from the ground up within the Snowdrop engine. Gameplay would also be brought into the modern era so that it can \u201cmatch player comfort and expectations.\u201d Just a month ago, a job listing suggested the game was still in the very early stages of development as they were recruiting a scriptwriter to rewrite and update the story for modern audiences. While the latest update that the game\u2019s director has left Ubisoft is not the most positive news, the departure should not make too much of an impact on the remake\u2019s development at this stage.<\/p>\n

The Splinter Cell Remake director leaves Ubisoft after 11 years at the publisher according to his LinkedIn post (thanks VGC). Grivel\u2019s history also includes work on Assassin\u2019s Creed Unity<\/span><\/span>, Far Cry 5, Far Cry 6, and Ghost Recon Future Soldier<\/span><\/span>. He\u2019s yet to reveal what the future holds for him, but has told everyone to \u201cstay tuned\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
