Now we\u2019re being told that the 2025 installment will be from Sledgehammer Games and will be Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare 2<\/strong> according to a new report.<\/p>\n Sledgehammer Games is apparently aiming to move away from historical shooters and head firmly back into the future with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare 2, at least according to a report from WhatIfGaming. Apparently the lack of success from Call of Duty: Vanguard put paid to the idea that the team could expand on the story and characters of that game, so the team has gone back to the drawing board. The result is the decision to expand on the Advanced Warfare franchise instead.<\/p>\n The game is expected to be developed on the IW 9.0 engine and will be released in 2025, marking a return to the annual Call of Duty schedule.
