Nintendo has confirmed that a Nintendo Direct: The Super Mario Bros. Movie <\/strong>presentation will be broadcast later this week.<\/p>\n

Set to start at 1.05pm PT \/ 9.05pm BST \/ 10.05 CEST on Thursday 6th October 2022, the presentation will share the world premiere trailer for the upcoming film with the company adding that \u201cno game information will be featured.\u201d<\/p>\n

The news was accompanied by the first look at a promotional poster for the film, which offers a glimpse at the art direction that the team has taken. <\/p>\n

Plans for the movie were\u00a0revealed in February 2018<\/strong>, which will be co-produced by Shigeru Miyamoto and Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri \u2013 co-financed by Universal Pictures and Nintendo, with Universal Pictures responsible for distributing the movie worldwide.<\/p>\n

The movie is being created in partnership with\u00a0Illumination, an animation studio that many will know for creating\u00a0Despicable Me, but also for their work on\u00a0Dr. Seuss\u2019 The Lorax,\u00a0Minions,\u00a0The Secret Life of Pets,\u00a0Sing\u00a0and\u00a0The Grinch.<\/p>\n

The Super Mario Bros. movie will release in theatres across North America on 7th April 2023, and in Japan on 28th April 2023.<\/p>\n
