Publisher Kepler Interactive and developer Ebb Software have announced that the upcoming first-person horror game Scorn will now launch on October 14 instead of its originally announced October 21 release date. The game will launch for Xbox Series X\/S and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass. A new trailer was also released.<\/span><\/p>\n

Scorn takes players into an isolated, strange, dream-like world. Left unguided to fend for themselves, players must explore Scorn\u2019s interconnected bio-labyrinth, learning its rules and mastering grotesque puzzles along the way as they come to understand their own predicament<\/span><\/p>\n

By uncovering secrets and gathering the strange bio-mechanical tools that seem to have been used by the civilization that previously called this world home, surviving might just be possible. Finding the truth, however, is an entirely different question.<\/span><\/p>\n

Scorn is an atmospheric first-person horror adventure game set in a nightmarish universe of odd forms and somber tapestry.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is designed around the idea of \u201cbeing thrown into the world\u201d. Isolated and lost inside this dream-like world, you will explore different interconnected regions in a non-linear fashion. The unsettling environment is a character itself.<\/span><\/p>\n

Every location contains its own theme (story), puzzles and characters that are integral in creating a cohesive world. Throughout the game you will open up new areas, acquire different skill sets, weapons, various items and try to comprehend the sights presented to you.<\/span><\/p>\n

Key Features<\/b><\/p>\n

Cohesive \u201cLived-In\u201d World <\/b>\u2013 Scorn takes place in an open-ended world with different interconnected regions. Each region is a maze-like structure with various rooms and paths to discover. All the storytelling happens in-game, with no cut-scenes to distract you from the grisly reality of the living, breathing world you\u2019re in. But keep your eyes open\u2014the game won\u2019t show you any sympathy if you miss something important on your uneasy travels. Everything has a reason and purpose \u2013 you just need to work out what it is.<\/span><\/p>\n

Full Body Awareness \u2013<\/b> Players will experience better immersion being aware of the character\u2019s body and movement. Interaction with the world is realistic \u2013 objects are picked up with your hands (instead of just floating in midair), machines and instruments are operated by grabbing the controls etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

Inventory and Ammo Management \u2013<\/b> Is defined and limited. It plays a big role in keeping the player in an even greater state of awareness throughout the whole game. Players will have to think about when to fight and when to take cover and how their actions affect the world around them. Different play styles will be needed to advance.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
