The Pok\u00e9mon Company\u00a0has revealed\u00a0Wiglett<\/strong>\u00a0as a new addition to the Paldea region Pok\u00e9dex in\u00a0Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Pok\u00e9mon Violet<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0Nintendo Switch.<\/p>\n

\u201cCould it be a Diglett? It resembles Diglett but its coloring is different. Could it be a regional form unique to Paldea,\u201d the characters from the World Pok\u00e9mon Ecological Society Webinar speculate in the game\u2019s latest trailer (thanks, Serebii). \u201cThey must be an evolved form of Diglett! Instead of evolving into triplets like Dugtrio, they adapt to a marine environment with another form?\u201d<\/p>\n

Referring to a memo, the researchers read: \u201cThis Pok\u00e9mon that lives on the beach or in the sea of the Paldea region would be \u2018Wiglett.\u2019 Although they appeared to be the Paldean Form of Diglett, we\u2019ve learned that they live and eat differently as if they are entirely different Pok\u00e9mon. According to the research, it is said that it is a coincidence that they have similar bodies, as they both burrow in the ground and the sand.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet\u00a0and\u00a0Pok\u00e9mon Violet are promised to \u201ctake a new evolutionary step in the Pok\u00e9mon main series,\u201d with players offered the chance to \u201cexplore an open world where various towns with no borders blend seamlessly into the wilderness.\u201d You will see Pok\u00e9mon everywhere in this \u201cwide-open world,\u201d whether in the skies, in the sea, or on the streets.\u00a0<\/p>\n

You will start your adventure in the Paldea region, which is described as being \u201ca land of vast open spaces dotted with lakes, towering peaks, wastelands, and mountain ranges.\u201d There are lots of people and Pok\u00e9mon living together in a variety of locations, such as \u201ca farming village with bountiful harvests to a port town with a bustling marketplace.\u201d Pok\u00e9mon also call treetops, rivers, and other locations in the wilderness their homes.<\/p>\n

At the heart of the Paldea region is its largest city, Mesagoza. It is here that you will find either Naranja Academy or Uva Academy, with their name, emblem and uniforms differing depending on whether you choose to play\u00a0Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet\u00a0or\u00a0Pok\u00e9mon Violet.

The Pok\u00e9dex will be loaded on your Rotom Phone as an app, as well as a map app that will let you see the entire Paldea region, your current location and information like nearby towns, Pok\u00e9mon Centers and wild Pok\u00e9mon.<\/p>\n

After their release, Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet and Pok\u00e9mon Violet will be able to link with Pok\u00e9mon HOME, a service that allows you to keep your entire Pok\u00e9mon collection in one place. By linking these games with Pok\u00e9mon HOME, you will be able to have Pok\u00e9mon from other regions adventure alongside them in Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet and Pok\u00e9mon Violet.<\/p>\n

Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet and Pok\u00e9mon Violet will release at retail and digitally on the\u00a0Nintendo eShop\u00a0for\u00a0Nintendo Switch\u00a0worldwide on 18th November 2022.<\/p>\n
