Z\u00fcrich-based developers Stray Fawn Studio\u2019s new city-building simulation game comes with a twist \u2013 you build a village on the back of a giant, wandering creature called Onbu. The objective is to build a settlement and \u201cform a symbiotic relationship with the colossus\u201d as the game describes it \u2013 as the world around is littered with poisonous lands. This makes The Wandering Village a unique and challenging game \u2013 not only do you have to manage your village, its inhabitants, resources, food production and the like \u2013 but you also must pay close attention to the creature and take care of it.<\/p>\n

The game starts you off with building a settlement atop a platform on the six-legged wandering creature\u2019s back. The tutorial immediately gets you into doing the usual \u2013 building a farm, buildings to access water to support the farm, and water tanks to store it. I found the tutorial focused more on the villagers\u2019 side than on Onbu\u2019s upkeep.<\/p>\n
