We haven\u2019t gotten any update on the next TRON<\/em> movie starring Jared Leto, but fans were caught by surprise this weekend when Disney revealed they were working on a TRON<\/em> game.<\/p>\n

<\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/figure>\nHere\u2019s the official description:<\/p>\nFrom Bithell games, developer of Thomas Was Alone, John Wick Hex, and Volume, comes Tron Identity, a game that we know very little about, apart from this premiere teaser trailer from D23.<\/em><\/p>\nWe don\u2019t have a look at gameplay yet, but Mike Bithell of Bithell Games does tell IGN, \u201cWe basically cast you as a detective in that world [of TRON] who\u2019s both interacting with the programs but also interacting with their discs and working out what makes them tick; trying to figure out what\u2019s happened in this world. It\u2019s kind of a unique way of telling a detective story in a sci-fi setting.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\nThere hasn\u2019t really been a look at gameplay yet, but we do have some slides of characters that looks like this series could have some visual novel influence, with your character talking to different programs and choosing conversation options.<\/p>\nPersonally, I think that TRON<\/em> is all about the neon-cyber world, but there is some interesting lore that brings the Grid together, what with the programs and their relationship to the users. Legacy<\/em> had also introduced us to the concept of Isos, who were completely born in the digital world, but were wiped out by Clu prior to the events of TRON: Legacy<\/em>.<\/p>\nIt may not be a movie, but it could be a fun jump back into the world while we wait for Disney to finally decide.
