  Following recent leaks of a white Xbox Elite Wireless Series 2 controller, Microsoft has officially unveiled it, dubbing this controller\u00a0the \u201cCore\u201d edition of the Series 2.\u00a0\n<\/code><\/pre>\n
That \u201cCore\u201d title is because \u201cit\u2019s been designed to meet the core needs of today\u2019s competitive gamers,\u201d seemingly at a more affordable cost because it\u2019s about $50 cheaper than the standard black Series 2 controller. The latter costs $179.99 while the former \u2013 the new Core controller \u2013 will run you $129.99. As for why, it\u2019s because the Core controller comes with fewer customizable features that have since defined the Elite series of controllers for Xbox.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s a look at the differences between the two<\/strong>:\u00a0<\/p>\n

As you can see, the Core controller does not include\u00a0a charging dock, the four back paddles, the additional thumbstick and d-pad, or the carrying case. However, you can add these\u00a0accessories to the Core controller by purchasing the Complete Component Pack<\/strong> separately for $59.99. These accessories can be used on both the Core controller and as replacement parts for your current Elite Series 2 controller.\u00a0<\/p>\n
