We\u2019ve already had an eventful summer of video game showcases, but it looks like it isn\u2019t over yet. Disney is now entering the digital game showcase party with the announcement of the Disney & Marvel Games Showcase. The new event takes place live at the D23 expo on September 9 at 4 PM ET, with Kinda Funny\u2019s Blessing Adeoye Jr as its host.<\/p>\n

According to a post on Marvel\u2019s website, the showcase will feature \u201cincredible new content from Disney & Pixar Games, Marvel Games, Lucasfilm Games, and 20th Century Games. In addition to all-new announcements, fans can expect new reveals from titles including Disney Dreamlight Valley<\/em>, Marvel\u2019s Midnight Suns<\/em>, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga<\/em>, and a sneak peek at the upcoming Marvel ensemble game from Skydance New Media.\u201d<\/p>\n

A marvelous amount of information<\/h2>\n

There are a lot of potential games that could be shown during this event, which makes the showcase an exciting prospect. Marvel\u2019s Midnight Suns<\/em> was recently delayed, but it seems like an ideal time for fans to see more about the game. Disney Dreamlight Valley<\/em> has potential as a life-simulation game that incorporates many of Disney\u2019s beloved properties.<\/p>\n

Most exciting is the \u201csneak peek\u201d at a new Marvel game from Skydance New Media. This game is being helmed by famous game developer Amy Hennig, who was previously a creative director at Naughty Dog. This project was revealed earlier this year but details are thin on the ground. Hennig said that she \u201ccan\u2019t imagine a better partner than Marvel for our first game.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s also worth noting that Hennig and her team are working on a Star Wars<\/em> game, but that seems less likely to appear that this event. However, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor<\/em> is also set to be released next year, and the Disney & Marvel Games Showcase seems like it would be the perfect time to get a new glimpse at Respawn Entertainment\u2019s latest game.<\/p>\n
