Nintendo Europe has confirmed its plans to close off the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U eShop in 2023. From 27th March, 2023 you will no longer be able to purchase any games on either systems. The company also said that from 29th August. 2022 you will no longer be able to add funds to the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U eShop. If you\u2019ve made purchases on the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U you will still be able to re-download software you\u2019ve purchased on the systems after 27th March, 2023 and access online play. It\u2019s real shame, as there are no legal alternatives to purchase some of the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U games which are no longer readily available physically at their recommended retail price<\/p>\n

Even after 27\/03\/2023 and for the foreseeable future, it will still be possible to redownload games and DLC, receive software updates and enjoy online play on Wii U consoles and Nintendo 3DS systems.<\/p>\n
