According to Bloomberg\u2019s Jason Schreier, God of War Ragnarok \u2018s release date was initially set to be revealed at an event today, June 30th, but said the event has reportedly been canceled. These claims were also supported by the Twitter user and renowned leaker, The Snitch, who told Kotaku something similar after previously claiming the event would take place today. \u201cThere was going to be a reveal,\u201d Said The Snitch to Kotaku. \u201cBut Sony delayed it .\u201d However, as these claims were never confirmed by Sony or the game\u2019s staff, it\u2019s no surprise the event never happened.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, with fans speculating the game has been delayed,\u00a0 God of War director and Ragnarok producer Cory Barlog took to Twitter to confirm the game has, in fact, not been canceled with recent tweets. When the producer was asked\u00a0 on Twitter, \u201cWhy won\u2019t you all just go on and tell us that ragnarok is delayed so that we can move on and plan the rest of the year seriously this is getting frustrating.\u201d he responded, \u201cbecause its not.\u201d For now, God of War Ragnarok\u2019s specific release date has yet to be announced, but that might change soon.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On God of War Ragnarok rumors: as of very recently, there was indeed a release date announcement planned for Thursday, June 30, per people familiar. Recent tweets from Cory Barlog suggest that is no longer happening. Still, as far as I know the game has not been delayed again.<\/p>\n
