UK-based developer\u00a0Oxalis Games\u00a0has raised $4.5 million in support of its upcoming Web3 social simulator\/farming RPG,\u00a0Moonfrost. Notably, this is the very first Web3 project to be financially supported by\u00a0Supercell.<\/p>\n

The $4.5 million seed round was led by\u00a0Blocore, and included Supercell, Animoca Brands, Griffin Gaming Partners, Sir Ian Livingstone, and Jagex CEO Phil Mansell as angel investors.<\/p>\n

Oxalis Games was co-founded by Ric Moore, former co-founder of Bossa Studios and The Secret Police \u2013 responsible for the\u00a0mobile port of Stardew Valley, and Gina Nelson, who has worked on art teams in Star Wars and Disney, among other leading IP.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe next generation of crypto games\u201d<\/h2>\n

Moore stated: \u201cWe\u2019re building the next generation of crypto games where fun comes first. We intend to raise the bar in terms of quality and user experience. We\u2019re also doing some pioneering things with NFTs which we haven\u2019t seen done before.\u201d<\/p>\n
