The Pok\u00e9mon Company has announced that Junichi Masuda is no longer the Managing Director at Game Freak. He will now serve as the\u00a0 Chief Creative Fellow at The Pok\u00e9mon Company overseeing all things Pok\u00e9mon.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Junichi Masuda has been at Game Freak from the beginning, from Pok\u00e9mon Ruby Version and Pok\u00e9mon Sapphire Version to Pok\u00e9mon X and Pok\u00e9mon Y he was the director of the games. But his work on the first games, including the soundtracks are where he started.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Masuda had this message in a press release for fans\u00a0<\/p>\n

I have served as the director of the Pok\u00e9mon video game series, starting with \u201cPok\u00e9mon Ruby Version and Pok\u00e9mon Sapphire Version\u201d up until \u201cPok\u00e9mon X and Pok\u00e9mon Y,\u201d and was involved in the development of many video games, including Pok\u00e9mon GO. I would like to express my heart-felt thanks to all Pok\u00e9mon fans.<\/p>\n
Going forward, I hope to transcend the boundaries of video games by trying to offer greater surprises, fun and excitement to people all over the world, while doing my utmost to connect people, expand the circle of \u201cplay\u201d and to help bring about a richer world for us to share.
