Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords<\/em> is coming to Nintendo Switch and it\u2019s getting a better ending.<\/h4>\n

No, it\u2019s not the Sith vs Jedi dance-off we\u2019ve been craving ever since Star Wars Kinect<\/em> came out, but the Switch version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II<\/em> will get a free piece of downloadable content, dubbed the \u201cRestored Content DLC\u201d, which restores some formerly unfinished content to the game, including an improved ending.<\/p>\n

This DLC has its roots in the PC-based \u201cSith Lords Restored Content Modification\u201d project. KoToR II<\/em>, created by Obsidian Entertainment, was \u2013 and is \u2013 a good game, but it\u2019s obvious that Obsidian were under pressure to finish. Consequently, chunks of the vanilla game \u2013 in particular the ending \u2013 feel rushed or unfinished.<\/p>\n

Fans discovered that a lot of the unfinished content was still there in the game, just inaccessible to players. For example, there\u2019s a mission where murderdroid HK47 destroys a factory that\u2019s been churning out copies of him. The mod has been in development for some time but\u00a0Aspyr, who publish both the Switch and PC version, reached out to the team behind the project. And, since Aspyr has access to the source code, they helped the team complete the project.<\/p>\n
