Bethesda has announced that two of its upcoming titles \u2013\u00a0Starfield\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Redfall\u00a0<\/em>\u2013 have been pushed back to 2023.<\/h4>\nThe announcement was shared on Twitter this afternoon<\/a>, stating that the development teams have \u201cincredible ambitions for their games\u201d. And as such, \u201cwe want to ensure that you receive the best, most polished versions of them.\u201d<\/p>\nStarfield\u00a0<\/em>is perhaps Bethesda\u2019s most anticipated title (outside of the inevitable\u00a0Elder Scrolls VI<\/em>). It was originally set to release exclusively on Xbox on 11th November, making it the console\u2019s biggest game of the year. Now, it won\u2019t release until the first half of 2023.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\nThe information given about\u00a0Starfield\u00a0<\/em>so far has been purposefully scarce, but we know it\u2019s a space-baced action RPG, perhaps best thought of as \u201cSkyrim in Space\u201d. It\u2019s also Bethesda\u2019s first new in-house IP in 25 years.<\/p>\nRedfall<\/em>, on the other hand, is a vampire-themed first person shooter, in development by Arkane Studios. Again, it\u2019s to be exclusive to Xbox and PC, and while a solid release date was never given, it was expected to land this summer.<\/p>\nBoth games now have no release date, but will be expected sometime between January and June 2023.<\/p>\n
