The most famous photo-sharing social media app, Instagram, is now supporting multi-chain NFTs in its platform. Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, had been talking about the metaverse and NFTs for a while now.\u00a0<\/p>\nAt first, the NFTs will come in the form of a limited pilot. Only a few artists from the US will be allowed to showcase their NFTs on Instagram. The users can buy the NFTs as well as tag the original creators of these non-fungibles.\u00a0<\/p>\nAccording to CoinMarketCap<\/strong>, we may not have to wait a week as the NFTs could be announced as early as TODAY!\u00a0<\/p>\nAt first, However, not all users will be able to own or showcase their NFTs \u2013 only a handful of US-based creators will be given access.<\/p>\nSupport for Multi-Chain NFTs<\/strong><\/h3>\n
Unlike other platforms, NFTs on Instagram will not be limited to Ethereum. Polygon<\/strong>, Solana<\/strong>, and Flow-based NFTs will also be supported by the social media platform.<\/p>\n
Along with multi-chain support, Meta will most likely support MetaMask<\/strong> \u2013 a decentralized exchange.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Instagram x NFTs \u2013 Will It Succeed?<\/strong><\/h3>\n
Mark Zuckerburg<\/strong> has been creating hype around the integration of NFTs with his social media platforms \u2013 Instagram and Facebook.\u00a0<\/p>\n
At first, NFTs are coming to Instagram but Facebook will follow later. The massive userbase will be exposed to the world of digital collectibles \u2013 they will be able to see who owns these NFTs.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Currently, OpenSea<\/strong> is home to around 1.4M<\/strong> users. On the other hand, Deutsche Bank has reported that 44M <\/strong>users will be able to use the features by next year.\u00a0<\/p>\n
