Thunderful and Space Lizard Studio have revealed that Paper Cut Mansion<\/strong> is coming to Nintendo Switch later this year.<\/p>\n

This roguelite horror game is \u201cset in a unique handcrafted world made of cardboard,\u201d in which you play as Toby, a police detective who arrives at the eponymous old mansion.<\/p>\n

Your detective skills will be put to the test as you work to unravel the mystery behind the bizarre location, with each run presenting the chance to collect another piece of evidence to be tacked on to your Evidence Board. The characters that you meet along the way may help or hinder you \u2013 some offering quests that earn you helpful rewards while others will hide or are out to get you.<\/p>\n

Each procedurally-generated run can see you unlock new abilities and discover new equipment, with a dimension-hopping mechanic letting you leap between alternate versions of the same location. That\u2019s something that you\u2019ll need to do to overcome enemies, gather clues, uncover secrets, secure loot and solve logic puzzles throughout the mansion.<\/p>\n

The game\u2019s textures have been hand-drawn on paper, scanned into a computer and then modelled into 3D papercraft, resulting in its unique aesthetic.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really excited to give people a first look at this intricate paper world we\u2019ve been crafting. We wanted to create something unique, but that draws inspiration from the classic 80s and 90s works of Tim Burton and Jim Henson,\u201d explains Space Lizard Studios\u2019 Gabriele Caruso. \u201cThe team has worked really hard to create a mysterious and visually appealing world that\u2019s going to draw players in, and provide them with a compelling roguelite loop that\u2019s going to keep them coming back. Paper Cut Mansion will release digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2022.<\/p>\n
