In Freshly Frosted<\/em>, you get to control conveyor belts that then take the donuts on their journey to be frosted and packaged away.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is something super satisfying about watching donuts be made, dipped, sprinkled, and placed into their box. Each of the levels are pretty straightforward, with a total of at least one-hundred and forty-four to get through. There is a baked box that donuts come out of, some machines that you can loop your donuts around, and an exit for your freshly-baked donuts to depart and make their way into the hands of donut lovers everywhere. You are able to create a conveyor belt that the donuts will loop around, through drawing on the grid-like ground to have them appear. Your goal is to get the donuts made correctly by getting them frosted first, then get toppings put on them, before they make it to the exit.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are goal donuts on the side of the screen showing you what donuts you need to get created and delivered. Some levels only require one donut for you to create while others require a few different donuts, all made in the same room.<\/p>\n

From what I see so far, Freshly Frosted<\/em> is a polished, beautiful game. The visuals are cute, colorful, and delicious-looking. And, as the donuts move around and the machines interact with them, they make lovely music that is just a joy to listen to. Sometimes I found myself not moving onto the next level, so I could instead stay and listen to the tune that I had just created with my pattern.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I got to play some of Freshly Frosted<\/em> at The Mix at GDC where I really enjoyed the simplicity and vibrancy of the game itself. There are tons of levels in this game, with a lot of different toppings for your donuts and many challenges when it comes to the layout and the space. Once you have figured it out, it feels very satisfying as you watch the donuts being made.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
