ORIGYN and UEFA Foundation for Children have partnered together to launch \u2018NFTs for Good\u2019, as they\u2019re calling them. These NFTs are a part of ORIGYN\u2019s initiative with the same name. In detail, they will be creating one-of-a-kind football collectibles. Which will start from the referee\u2019s coin from the EURO 2020 Final between England and Italy. Auctioned together will be a physical and corresponding digital twin NFT.<\/p>\nORIGYN and UEFA are working on an NFT together.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
About the ORIGYN and UEFA collection<\/h2>\n
ORIGYN, a Swiss non-profit foundation that aims to unlock the powers of rights for objects of value, have revealed their work with UEFA Foundation for Children.<\/p>\n
As a key part of the charity\u2019s \u2018NFTs for Good\u2019 initiative, ORIGYN and UEFA will create a limited collection of physical collectibles. A related digital one will be created for each of the one-of-a-kind memorabilia, including one of the toss coins that was used in the Euro 2020 Championship Final between England and Italy.<\/p>\n
Basically, UEFA Foundation of Children\u2019s General Secretary, Urs Kluser spoke on the collab. They said: \u201cWe are thrilled to partner with ORIGYN to bring these important items to the world stage. For the benefit of The UEFA Foundation for Children, we share a united vision of leveraging next-generation technology such as NFTs to raise money for children and world citizens across the globe. There is no better collective mission.\u201d<\/p>\n
Also, Bill Ackman and Paris Hilton backed the collection. To clarify, this was as ORIGYN recently raised a round of funding worth $20 million.<\/p>\n
What is ORIGYN?<\/h2>\n
ORIGYN is a platform that ties digital certificates to the world\u2019s most valuable physical relics. These digital twins are non-fungible, unique and, in many cases, tied to a connected physical object. Moreover,\u00a0 minted by ORIGYN will be the UEFA coin into a digital twin NFT and auctioned off jointly. With the physical coin coming in the second quarter of 2022, alongside other rare collectibles from the foundation.<\/p>\n
To clarify, the collab will take place exclusively on the ORIGYN-powered platform, Impossible Things, which launches in Q2 of this year.<\/p>\n
