<\/figure>\n Last year, Dr. Dre headlined GTA Online<\/em>\u2019s most recent update, The Contract. However, it took some convincing to actually get him to appear digitally in-game. According to a new interview, he initially declined because he didn\u2019t really know much about GTA<\/em> and thought it was \u201cfor kids.\u201d<\/p>\n In an interview with BET<\/em><\/span>, DJ Pooh\u2014a screenwriter and music producer who has worked with Rockstar since San Andreas<\/em>\u2014talked about how uninterested Dr. Dre was at first when Rockstar pitched the idea of him appearing in GTA Online<\/em><\/span>.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cInitially it was just no,\u201d said Pooh. \u201cBut the answer was initially no because Dre\u2019s not a gamer. He just didn\u2019t play any of the games. It\u2019s not like he dislikes them or something, he just didn\u2019t play them. He was like I don\u2019t make things for kids.\u201d<\/p>\n It might seem weird that someone would assume GTA Online<\/em><\/span> is a game for kids, but remember that Dr. Dre is a very, very rich person with a huge career and is probably a busy man most days. It\u2019s not shocking he hasn\u2019t found the time to sit down and play a GTA <\/em>game. And if he did<\/em> sit down to play GTA Online<\/em>, he\u2019d likely run into a bunch of kids blowing him up with jetbikes or asking for money and end up walking away assuming that, yes, it\u2019s a game for kids.<\/p>\n
