In a surprise announcement, Remedy Games has announced that they are planning to remake the iconic action games Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne. The games are being developed in collaboration with Rockstar Games, with whom Remedy has a long standing relationship with as the two developers also worked together to bring us the original games.<\/p>\n

The remakes are currently in the concept development stage, and they are being developed as a single title for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S using Remedy\u2019s proprietary Northlight game engine which is also being used to develop Alan Wake 2. Rockstar is financing the project, the budget of which \u201cwill be in line with a typical Remedy AAA-game production. Tero Virtala, CEO of Remedy Games says he is excited to be updating these games for the fans:<\/p>\n
