Valorant\u2019s Episode 4 has already seen the introduction of one new Agent \u2013Neon, the speedy Philipino duelist\u2013, but there\u2019s another on the way soon, and Riot Games has already begun teasing their arrival. Here we\u2019ll be recapping everything we know about the new Valorant Agent \u2018Bounty Hunter,\u2019<\/strong> including all abilities and information so far disclosed.<\/p>\n

New Valorant Agent Bounty Hunter Information<\/h2>\n

Officially, Riot Games hasn\u2019t provided too much in the way of firm information. A recent \u2018State of the Agents\u2018 article from Valorant character producer John Goscicki offered some interesting tidbits, though. First up, the codename \u2018Bounty Hunter,\u2019 which was datamined weeks ago following the launch of Episode 4, Act II\u2019s first patch<\/a> but was only acknowledged by the developer in this recent article.<\/p>\n
Next up, is the teaser image you see above that depicts a very Turkish-looking cup of coffee next to what appears to be Turkish Delight candy. If that wasn\u2019t enough of a clue as to the nationality of Bounty Hunter, then the Turkish words \u201cHerkesin bir korkusu var\u201d <\/em>all but confirm it. The sentence translates to \u201ceveryone has a fear,\u201d which is a philosophy in keeping with the new Agents\u2019 skillset as you\u2019ll see below.<\/p>\n
New Valorant Agent Abilities<\/h2>\n
Bounty Hunter has for a long time strongly been suspected as an Initiator Agent, similar to Skye, Sova, and Breach. Popular dataminer ValorLeaks seemed certain of this in a Tweet earlier this month after digging up files from Episode 4\u2019s update patch. This wasn\u2019t all that surprising given that there are just three initiators in the game so far, fewer than any other Agent-type. Still, there had been some speculation Bounty Hunter Might have been a controller. Not so, as it turns out.<\/p>\n
In terms of abilities, the State of the Agents article cited earlier spoke of Initiator utility that would feel a little more \u201cintimate\u201d than, say, Sova, whose arrows can count info all the way across the map. Goscicki was clear that he didn\u2019t want to spoil too much, though, and so officially we don\u2019t have anything else to go on as yet.<\/p>\n
Unofficially, though, it\u2019s a different story: a huge leak might just have spilled the beans on all of Bounty Hunter\u2019s abilities. Now, don\u2019t take this as gospel quite yet as nothing has been confirmed, but the following information looks very real and many reliable sources (including ValorLeaks) seem to believe it\u2019s accurate.<\/p>\n
Copied from the Reddit article by u\/I_Katie, which is based on a leaked screenshot that was posted in a public Discord server they were in, the image highlights all of Bounty Hunter\u2019s abilities. These are as follows:<\/p>\n

C \u2013 Prowler<\/strong> EQUIP. Fire to send a creature out which will travel in a straight line looking for enemies AND\/OR Trails. HOLD FIRE AND MOVE MOUSE to steer the creature in the direction you are facing. When the creature finds a trail or enemy, it will move toward them. Upon reaching the enemy, it will start a .5s cooktime and the NEARSIGHT the closest enemy for 3s. Only one Creature can latch onto a TRAIL ever.<\/li>\n
Q \u2013 Seize<\/strong> EQUIP an orb. FIRE to throw the orb. The orb will travel in the air a max time of 1.5s until dropping to the ground. Upon hitting the ground, it will lock in place and begin to cook for .5s. After .5s a zone will expand out to 7m and all enemies caught will be tethered to the center. Tethered enemies suffer 75 decay damage, are deafened, and cannot escape the zone by normal means for 5s. Can be reactivated in flight to drop earlier.<\/li>\n
E<\/strong> \u2013 Haunt<\/strong> EQUIP an orb. FIRE to throw the orb. The orb will travel in the air a max time of 1.5s until dropping to the ground. Once it hits the ground, it raises back up and turns into an Eye that can be destroyed. If the Eye sees opponents, it will REVEAL them and apply a TRAIL debuff that lasts 12s. Can be reactivated in the flight to drop the projectile earlier.<\/li>\n
X<\/strong> \u2013 Nightfall<\/strong> EQUIP this ability. FIRE to send out a wave of dark mist. If the mist comes in contact with an enemy, they will be TRAILED, DEAF, and DECAYED for 12s.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
As you can see, Bounty Hunter lives up to their name with a kit that allows them to track enemies in order to quite literally hunt them down. They\u2019re able to inflict vulnerability through a new debuff called \u2018Trail,\u2019 which both illuminates the target to friendlies and Bounty Hunter\u2019s totems, which are called Prowlers. You\u2019ll recognize the Prowlers as similar to Skye\u2019s Seekers, or the Prowlers from Spike Rush.<\/p>\n
Bounty Hunter Release Date<\/h2>\n
Now, this is one piece of information that we simply don\u2019t have; officially or unofficially, there\u2019s no word as to when Bounty Hunter is yet to release. For our money, though, it seems likely that they\u2019ll arrive at the launch of Episode 4\u2019s Act III, which is in about a month\u2019s time. So, not long to go, and we should have even more information over the coming weeks as the release date draws nearer. <\/p>\n
