Rumor has it that a Skate 4 reveal<\/strong> is coming soon as the game has been in playtesting for months. That\u2019s according to reliable EA insider Tom Henderson, who reported for Exputer that Skate 4 is \u201cwell into\u201d the quality assurance phase and can be found in Origin\u2019s API under the code name \u201cProject Dingo.\u201d<\/p>\n

Skate 4 reveal was originally expected at cancelled EA Play<\/h2>\n

First announced two years ago, Skate 4 has been kept tightly under wraps. After revealing that it was reviving the series, EA announced a new studio named Full Circle, dedicated to the franchise. In July 2021, the publisher said that Skate 4 won\u2019t make an appearance at EA Play because it\u2019s \u201cstill early and we are committed to doing this thing right, which means it\u2019s gonna take some time.\u201d\u00a0\u201cOur number one goal is to not blow it,\u201d EA said. \u201cFor you, for us\u2026 for Skate.\u201d Fans expected something at this year\u2019s EA Play, which ended up being cancelled in favor of showing games individually.<\/p>\n

Henderson originally said in his report that Skate 4 has just entered playtesting but later corrected his information, adding that it\u2019s been in playtesting for months. Fellow insider and VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb has backed up Henderson\u2019s report, mentioning in his latest GamesBeat Decides podcast that \u201csomething was about to happen on that game\u201d and \u201cwe\u2019ll probably hear more about that game pretty soon.\u201d<\/p>\n
