COLUMBIANA — Hunter Davanzo bought the Columbiana Clippers going and everybody else joined within the experience Tuesday.
Davanzo scored the Clippers’ first 9 factors in a 60-36 win over Wellsville to set the stage for an Jap Ohio Athletic Convention showdown.
The Clippers are 16-2 general and 11-1 within the EOAC, one sport behind Valley Christian. Valley will host Columbiana on Friday with the league title on the road. Valley received 56-37 at Columbiana on Jan. 11.
Davanzo completed with 13 factors, three off his profession excessive, and 5 rebounds.
Seth Struharik collected 20 factors and three assists and Cooper Brown had 12 factors, eight rebounds, three assists and three huge blocks within the first half. Brayden Clancy grabbed eight rebounds and Avery Younger added six factors.
Wellsville drops to 7-11 and 5-7 in league play heading into Friday’s sport at United.
Tyrell Watkins led Wellsville with 14 factors and 11 rebounds and Andrew Mackey grabbed 10 rebounds. Watkins was the one Tiger to attain greater than 4 factors as Wellsville shot 6-of-20 from the foul line.
Davanzo scored the sport’s first six factors within the opening two minutes. He added a three-pointer to place the Clippers forward 9-5 with 4:12 to play within the first quarter.
The closest Wellsville bought after that was 13-11 within the last minute of the primary quarter. Struharik’s three-pointer beat the buzzer because the Clippers led 16-11.
Columbiana outscored Wellsville 20-4 within the second quarter on 8-of-13 taking pictures to drag away.
Struharik had consecutive baskets and Avery Younger made a three-pointer to make it 23-13 with 6:28 remaining within the second quarter. Wellsville had just one basket the remainder of the half.
Brown hit a three-pointer for his first basket on the 4:56 mark of the second quarter to place the Clippers forward 26-13. Davanzo had a layup, Brown and Carter Johnson had consecutive three-pointers and Clancy scored off an offensive rebounds to provide the Clippers a commanding 36-15 halftime lead.
Wellsville received the junior varsity sport, 50-38. Cooper Frank scored 17 factors and Eric Dowling 15 for the Tigers. Liam McElwain had 15 factors for the Clippers.

YOUNGSTOWN — Valley Christian had 5 gamers rating in double figures throughout a 58-54 win over Lisbon in Jap Ohio Athletic Convention play Tuesday.
Jordan Tutwiler and Patrick T. Riley topped the Eagles with 13 factors apiece. Jaylen Robinson and Jerrell Miles every scored 11 factors and Deion Miller 10.
The Eagles enhance to 15-2 general and 12-0 within the EOAC, one sport forward of Columbiana. Valley will host Columbiana on Friday and might clinch a share of the league title with a victory.
Valley trailed 27-22 at halftime and scored 25 factors within the third quarter to rally for a 47-39 lead.
Lisbon strikes to 9-8 and 6-5 in league play.
AJ Ramgeet led the Blue Devils with a game-high 20 factors and eight rebounds. Freshman Aidan Ramgeet added 14 factors and Luke Kraft totaled 13 factors and 10 rebounds.

SALINEVILLE — Southern’s Braxton Sloan is de facto beginning to make a reputation for himself within the Jap Ohio Athletic Convention.
The freshman hit a game-winning three on the buzzer to assist the Indians beat United 41-39 on Tuesday.
Southern improved to 8-10 and 6-6 within the EOAC.
Sloan led the Indians with 27 factors, 5 rebounds, 4 steals and two blocks.
Jacob McCurdy added eight rebounds. Aaron Keoppel had seven rebounds.
Trent Ellyson and Luke Mercer had 10 factors every for the Eagles, 4-13 and 2-8 within the league.
United hosts Lisbon in the present day.
Southern will play an OVAC comfort sport on Tuesday.

Owen Jurjavcic added 16 factors, seven rebounds and 7 assists. Will Dixon haad 13 factors, six steals and 5 rebounds. Landyn Cope had 9 factors and 5 rebounds. Clark Rutledge had eight factors and 4 assists.
Dylan Johns and Dylan Brown had 11 factors every for Leetonia, 4-13 and 0-11 within the EOAC.
East Palestine (8-9, 4-8 within the EOAC) hosts City Students on Thursday.
