According to a report on Kotaku, the next instalments in the Far Cry, Ghost Recon, and Assassin’s Creed franchises are further out than publisher Ubisoft had originally anticipated.
That’s at least according to three sources closed to the company, although they didn’t provide an estimate as to when we could expect the new games.
As previously reported, Ubisoft is supposedly working on a new Assassin’s Creed game that started out life as an expansion to Valhalla, and will star Basim. This is being worked on to plug the gap between Valhalla and the series’ next major entry, Assassin’s Creed Infinity.

We’ve already heard murmurs about a new Ghost Recon game being in the works, which could be release as early as FY23. In wake of these reports however, assuming they’re true, that seems unlikely at this point.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was released in October 2020 and is still being supported by robust post-launch content, the most recent being the Dawn of Ragnarok expansion.
